These devices are not able to mask the signal used as a data ready interrupt. As such they previously requested the irq then immediately disabled it. Now we can avoid the potential of a spurious interrupt by avoiding the irq being auto enabled in the first place. I'm not sure how this code could have been called with the irq already disabled, so I believe the conditional would always have been true and have removed it. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
